Who is Taffy & Co.
Taffy was my little 11 year old tabby cat that I lost in October 2024. I have dedicated this business to his memory and also to Misty, Furbie, little 8 month old Holly, Cocoa and my dad. This is for you all.
Do you offer local collection or delivery?
Yes, if you live in or around Hadfield, Glossop, there is an option at the checkout to either collect for free or have your order delivered with a small charge. Y
How much is shipping?
There's nothing worse than getting to the checkout and seeing that shipping costs have been added that you weren't expecting. Unfortunately though, they are a fact of life. There really is no such thing as free shipping. I have to pay it, so I have to add it in to the orders that go out. I do try to keep it realistic and as low as I possibly can.
Shipping anywhere in the UK is by Evri next day (on dispatch) delivery, and is £2.95 up to 200gms (good for buying single items), £4.95 up to 1kg, anything up to 2kg is £6.95. Weight will be automatically calculated at the checkout.
Is everything vegan?
Yes, all products come from a fully vegan and GF household. The only exception is the Biscoff Crunch bar which is not GF or SF.
What is the shelf life of the chocolate?
All chocolate will last for around 12 months, but of course it won't be around for that long :-)
How should I store your products?
Storing your chocolate in the fridge will keep it better. Although it's down to personal taste.
When do you ship?
As a sole trader of a small cottage business, I do everything from creating, wrapping, packing, labelling, shopping, and everything in between myself, therefore orders could take up to 5 days to ship depending on how many I have. I endeavour to fulfill orders within a few working days though. Once shipped, your order will normally be with you the next day via your Evri courier.
Refunds and Replacements
Thankfully this situation is a rarity in my business, as most customers are very happy with their purchase, however every so often something happens that is beyond my control. In this situation, I (as the business owner) will make the decision whether a refund or replacement is appropriate. After accessing the situation, sometimes neither will be due. Whilst I understand this will never be a popular situation, I have to maintain and protect my small business. I will always liaise with the customer to obtain all the facts, whilst also doing my own background checks to cover all angles. I will always try to be fair and totally honest in coming to a final decision. If a full or partial refund is offered, this will not include shipping costs.
